A 1700 square foot private vacation home located just off the Chippewa Flowage. The lake is Scott Lake which is located 17 miles southeast of Hayward. 

Inside you will find 2 full baths, sunroom,  3 bedrooms (2 queen size beds and one set of bunk beds, wood burning fireplace, big screen TV, VCR, stereo/CD/tape player, a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher and central air. If you need extra space to spread out you will appreciate one queen-size and three twin sleeper sofas in the great room. Outside there is a private dock and lake access, Weber charcoal grill, and picnic table. Home also includes laundry facilities.

Relax and enjoy the Chippewa Flowage, Wisconsin's third-largest lake, preserved in her pristine wilderness state for you and all  future generations. With more than 15,000 acres of water,140 islands, and 200 miles of undeveloped shoreline the Big Chip offers you unlimited opportunities. Some of the best fishing on the lake is within a mile from our dock. World record Musky, elusive walleye, northern , small and large mouth bass, as well as crappie and other pan fish await you. If you are an avid fisherman you have probably heard of the flowage, if you are new to the area we can set you up with a guide to show you the hot spots.

There is also a large dock for the kids to swim off of or just watch the eagles and the sun set over the lake.

Bicycling trails through the gorgeous Chequamegaon National Forest as well as hiking and four wheeler trails abound only a few short miles away. If golf is your game there are no fewer than five courses of different skill levels and diversity just minutes away. Some courses are Par 3, others championship courses with tennis available, all open to the public.

Restaurants are around every corner whether on the water, trail, or exploring in your car. Big Musky Resort is within walking distance of the house, offering food and drink, as well as a pool table and other arcade games. Five minutes away visit Al Capone's Hideout or go the other direction and put your money down at the LCO Casino. You can't do it all in a week, but once you have tried it you will be back year after year.

Should it rain (and I must admit it sometimes does), wait it out on the 3 season porch. There is an assortment of games available for you to use and videos you can watch on our big screen TV. Remember this house is secluded in a natural forest so quiet we will furnish a map to get you in and out.

Snowmobilers, skiers and other winter enthusiasts!! The Hayward area is noted for good snow, great trails and thick ice..

500 miles of local snowmobile trails are well groomed and easily accessible from the cottage. A snowmobile map is available at the cottage. We will outline the best trails and pit stops.  We have been riding this area for fifteen years and can answer all your questions.  We have ridden all over Wisconsin and Michigan and feel this is the best snowmobile riding anywhere, because of the diverse trails, the great pit stops, and most of all the great people.  You can be in Minnesota or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in three hours by trail.  If you want to ride east to west across Wisconsin, we are just off the Tuscobia State Trail that runs from Minneapolis to Eagle River.  

Snowmobile rental is available locally as well as service for makes just a few miles away.  Cross Country ski trails are close by and well used, brought about by the famous American Birkebeiner race that is held just 20 miles north. North America's largest cross country ski marathon hosting skiers from around the world.

If the trails get rough there are over 20 stops right on the flowage and don't forget you've got a wood burning fireplace and big screen TV to relax around when you get back home.
